Useful StitchIt functions

StitchIt provides the following useful tools (partial list)

  • stitchit.tools.writeSignedTiff -- general-purpose signed TIFF writer

  • mergeChannels -- Combine two channels to create a new one by adding them, subtracting then, dividing one from the other, etc.

  • stitchit.sampleSplitter can be used to crop whole stacks to save disk space or to split up acquisitions where more than one sample was imaged.
